The Podcast is Coming

It’s finally happening - after years of procrasta-scrolling, we’re now in the process of building a podcast to share the stories, experiences, and wisdom from the disability community (and those closely connected to it). In true keeping with Ashleigh’s values and style, the podcast will discuss the quirks, weirdness, inequalities, and rage-inducing moments that is living with disability, particuarly for neurosparkly humans.

Once it’s ready for eager ears to delight in its content, you’ll find episodes available here, or in your favorite podcast app.

Quick Tips for Humans Who Haven’t Pitched Themselves Before

We get that not everyone has experience pitching themselves, so we’ve put together a few for those who are keen to send in a pitch but need a lil’ helping hand:

  1. Be clear about the topics, questions, and ideas you have, and the angle you want to come from.

  2. If you have a media kit, send it! This should include a short biography, your social media and website links, and topics you confidently speak on.

  3. Include your contact information - if you’re repping an organization or business (advocates and sole traders included) add your website and social handles.

  4. Let us know if you have any accessibility needs - keep in mind this podcast is in an audio-only format.

  5. Have a professional headshot that can be used for promoting your episode
